Restricted information on ratings page

Why is the amount of years (or interests) on the 'most rated' or 'top rated' lists restricted? I've seen films from circa 1896 onwards every year after that, but now I can't even check if I remember it correctly. You can only click "show 15 more" two times and then it's done. It's way less than half of my list!! Why put such an artificial limit? I use browser.
