Ratings: Only consider users who have rated 50%+ of the Top 250 for the Top 250
We know that for top 250 list they only consider regular user (I think its not consider for Indian movies in top 250 ) the formula is good but also considering the ratings for top 250 who have watched minimum 50 or 60 percent of imdb 250 movies gives better results. Rating consider for 250 are literally becomes genuine because they watched mostly best movies they know what are movies.... in all way ( they perception in movies increases). Recently most Indian movies are added in top 250 (regular) which are really don't deserver at all. most Indians rate the movie not by story, cinematography, direction etc. they rate like favorite actor, actresses, collection etc. what I am saying is they have no taste in movies (note I am also an Indian, I watched that movies added. I have seen many people who rate like this and with no movie taste at all ) adding this feature makes the list really good, reduce bad movies in the list. just thick the Indian movies recently added in top 250 (regular) are better than the Martian, black swan, revenant, underground 1995........ etc??????? they are not. ( sorry for my English grammar )

1. The IMDb Top 250 only considers votes from regular users.
2. IMDb does not publicize their criteria for a regular user to reduce the chances of people distorting the results.
3. Indian movies are eligible for the IMDb Top 250 if they meet the minimum number of votes (25,000) from regular users.
4. The criteria for the IMDb Indian Top 250 is different than the IMDb Top 250.
5. The criteria for a regular user for India may be different than for a regular user for IMDb as a whole. IMDb is unlikely to acknowledge any specifics.
6. As the Indian IMDb editors gain experience, the criteria the IMDb Indian top 250 is likely to change.
Note: I am a long time user of IMDb, not a staff member.
