Ratings: Add extra level of precision for sorting IMDb ratings
Since the launching of the new advanced title search there is a problem that persists and you didn't even answer the other times I've post about it. When I use the advanced title search to look for movies in IMDb rating order, all the movies with the same rating number appear in popularity order instead. Ex: all the movies with 6.9 appear in popularity order instead of rating order, so we don't know which movies are closer to 6.8 and which movies are closer to 7.0. If we want an accurate rating order we must create a list first and only then we can see a correct rating order. I'd like to see the correct rating order using the advanced title search, the way it was before. You are overlooking some serious issues on the site, like the indian/turkish bad movies invasion on top 250. IMDb is not the way it was anymore, unfortunately.

When sorting titles by IMDb Rating using the advanced title search, it only sorts titles by their shortened 1 d.p. score (the one shown on their main page) rather than their exact score. It then sorts titles with the same 1 d.p. score by their popularity. This is inaccurate and misleading.
The two images below illustrate this problem. The lists are in identical order. Thor: Ragnarok is shown as the highest rated title with 8.2 but it is actually just the most popular. As an example, titles with 8.29 should be sorted higher than those with 8.21.

This is a genuine problem and it should be looked into.

It looks like IMDb don't give a damn anymore to the fact that when we search for movies in IMDb users rating order all the movies with the same rating appear in POPULARITY ORDER. The way it was before, for example, on a list of movies with 6.9 the first movie was the closest to 7.0 and the last was the movie closest to 6.8. Now most people don't know about this issue and believes that all the lists are accurate. They are not. If I search for the best 200 movies with 6.9, I will get a completely different list from the one I really want, with 200 movies displayed in POPULARITY ORDER. Please, let me ask again: correct this. Give me back the reliable site that IMDb once was. Thanks.

The rating order on IMDb used to be accurate in the "advanced title search" and in the lists. Now, when I search for the highest rated titles on a list or in the "advanced title serch", all the movies with the same rating appear in popularity order. When I use the "advanced title search", for example, to find the best movies with 7.6 in any given list, the results are display in popularity order. I talk about this now and again, but you guys seem to don't care. You are given wrong results to the users and most of them don't even know that the results are wrong. You should think about that. It takes only a software adjust, people. When I get a result that reads "Highest Rated Titles In Your List With User Rating of 7.6" I want exactly what it says, not a popularity order result. Thanks.

I'm still waiting for an answer about the ratings problem. When we search for movies in IMDb rating order, the movies with the same rating number are appearing in POPULARITY order. The search system and the lists used to be accurate. Col Needham said that he would personally see about this, but he never answered anymore. I don't understand how the founder/CEO of IMDb can overlook such a serious problem: the fact that users can't generate a list with an accurate rating order anymore.

I love IMDB and one thing that I would like to see is IMDB display a second and maybe a third decimal place when they display their user ratings. This is NOT for user to rate a movie. For example, if I watch a movie I should not be able to rate a movie a 7.42 or a 7.423. But when IMDB takes the combined ratings of users for a movie, they should be able to list it as a 8.65 or an 8.647 instead of an 8.6.
