Private Watchlist, save as Date Added.

I've got quite an old (2011) private watchlist, but I'm not able to save it as 'Date Added'. I do can set to it, but it goes back straight to 'List order'.

HI @Settler11

Lists on IMDb are defaulted to list order so that you can customize or re-arrange your list as needed. If you prefer to have your list always sorted by "Date Added", you will need to edit your list.

The easiest way to do so, is while editing your list, have the list sorted by "Date Added", and then update the ordering/ranking for each title so that the order is mirroring the date added order.

For more details regarding lists on IMDb, please see our Lists FAQ

@Taylor It would be very silly if I haven't tried it. Specially I had to go to some different platform to publish this issue.

No, that doesn't work. I've tried them all.

Hi @Settler11

Can you provide the URL to the list you're attempting to update?

Furthermore should you have any screenshots or examples - that would help us investigate this further. Thanks.

https://www.imdb.com/user/ur27828313/watchlist?ref_=nv_usr_wl_all_0 (it's private though)

But no matter what I do, it's goes straight back to default:

Hi @Settler11

The list order is automatically sorted by ascending so you will automatically see oldest (#1) to newest (#225). If you'd like to view newest(#225) to oldest (#1), then you can click on the down/up arrows next to the "Sort by" box., which will sort the list order by descending.

I wouldn't recommend BUT if you always want it to be displayed as list order, but ascending by date added, then you will need to reverse your order with #1 being the newest title, and #225 being the oldest title. However this will perhaps make it difficult when adding new titles, as you will then have to manually edit each title you've added.

Why wouldn't anyone want their newest added item they add on their watchlist on top? That's basically want I wanted. Obviously I'm not going trough all the 225 items AND do that all over again for easch new item I add.

For me it's very weird that you can change order, and change the order of ascending/decending, actually save it, but it doesn't save it. Right?
