Please change the list system back

There was a time when IMDB's list feature was very useful when it comes to gathering genre information, ranking, etc. Back then, you could drag and drop, and it was as simple as that. Now, you have to manually change the number, and there's NO WAY to just change it from there. Instead, you have to scroll all the way back up to the top and hit "save list order." The best part is, you have to do this one at a time, because if you try to place it in the right spots on the list, one item will change where everything was and will put the new items in the wrong spot. If you're trying to organize things like release dates or priority, this becomes a nightmare. I have to do this over and over for dozens of items.

Why did you take a good system and make it worse? Was it harder for the site to maintain? Was there a glitch that made it less feasible as it was? This is such a pain when juggling lists, and that's 90% of what I use IMDB for. However, it's been like this for years, so I assume you're happy with it this way. I really wish I had a better listing alternative, but there aren't many sites with as much data on media.
