Ordering problem with the lists.

There are two lists that I update regularly; Deceased Actors in the Law & Order Franchise and TVLine's Performers of the Week. I like to sort out my lists by surname descending (or in the case of Performers of the Week, by most recent descending), and in recent times this process has become INFURIATING.

Whenever I try to move something to a new spot, it never ends up IN that spot. Whenever I try to readjust the placements, they never go where I want them to. Rather, they end up sharing spots with another entry, or end up a few spots above or below it. I've tried painstakingly reordering every ranking from 1 to 250, and they never take. The top spots are still clumped together as 1, rather than as 1, 2, 3, etc. This isn't just not working, this is ACTIVELY FIGHTING ME AT EVERY POSSIBLE OPPORTUNITY.

I've looked into this problem earlier, and one of the solutions suggested was to rework the list from the ground up...and I'm not doing that. It took me took long to create these lists and I really don't want to have to go through that again.

I'm leaving links to both lists as proof to my claims. I'm not sure how to prove that I've genuinely tried to re-label both lists from 1-250 and got nothing out of it besides saying that my OCD wouldn't let it slide if it could do anything about it.
