New field for TV Series (Pre-Production/In Production/Ended/Canceled)

I saw another post like this (which I liked) but it seems to have gone by the wayside so I thought I would do a similar post...

I really feel there should be a field that says the Status of a TV Series like on Trak.tv. I think the four primary categories would be Pre-Production, In Production (or Airing or Active, or something like this), Ended (this means the show came to a natural end like The Big Bang Theory) and Canceled.

I am forever googling to see whether a show has ended or been canceled so having a field that indicates that status of a series would be great.

Thanks!

Karen, can you provide screenshot(s) of the trak.tv listings you mention? Just in case they stop providing that information before IMDb gets around to liking your idea well enough to think about it.

I guess I should have supplied screenshots with my post. I have added them as a new reply. :-)

that website seems like it's only ads with no info.

I'm not sure what you mean. This is a website where you can track the shows and movies you watch. It has ads in the free version. The premium version has no ads.

Edit: I just realized I gave the wrong website domain. It's trakt.tv!! Apologies.

Here are some screenshots of Trakt.tv and how they present whether a show is currently airing, canceled or ended. I didn't bother trying to find a pre-production.

It's also nice that they make it clear where the series airs/aired.
Sometimes I cannot even determine that when I look at IMDb's Distribution information.

Totally agree. I love it that they have the originating station/source on this site. Hugely valuable!

I would like to see a TV series on how when Christopher lee went into the R A F during WW2 and some of him telling fans what made him join the R A F instead of the army or navy.

Mrs Gail Jacqueline Gray*(CHRISTOPHER LEE FAN.) it would be really hard to cast someone as Christopher Lee, though, really hard.
