What features would you like on name reference view (or would you like to see removed I guess)?

Remember that "Additional Info" section? That was gold. It showed keywords and genres associated a person.

The AKA titles were also present in filmography listings.

At the very least a name reference view should expand all sections of work by default, without having to click the "show" button for each category. The name reference view was just as important to the overall useful experience of IMDb as the title reference view was, and should definitely be reintroduced in the new software.

I seriously hope you will work and tweak the new title "reference" view in the future too. Yes, it's better than the "standard" view, but it is nowhere near as good as the old reference view yet.

I wish to have the possibility to toggle between work section view and overall chronological view.
Or maybe: chronological view by default, and the possibility to filter on work departments or functions.

In addition to what I wrote above, a name reference view should waste less space. Example, for Sean Connery it is better to display his acting credits like this:

Goldfinger (1964) ... James Bond
From Russia with Love (1963) ... James Bond
Dr. No (1962) ... James Bond

rather than the current
Goldfinger 1964
James Bond
From Russia with Love                                             1963
James Bond
Dr. No 1962
James Bond

A helpful programmer here (can't remember the name, unfortunately, but thanks again!) provided me with a JavaScript bookmarklet which makes name pages look like this (still Sean Connery):

Rather than

That's about three times as many credits on one page of information than the current view gives, so much easier to navigate, easier to read and follow and overall much more informative. Something akin to that, expanding all sections by default, would be close to a perfect reference view for me. Although I would very much like the menus and stuff in the right column to take up less screen place too, but that's a different discussion...

Just an additional thought on this, since I can no longer edit the original post; an official reference view should add a little bit of spacing here and there between credits, so as not to look like a huge wall of text (which it will on some prolific people), and the most useful way to do that would be to reintroduce what was on the old reference view; a space between credits on a decade to decade basis. Other than that I do honestly feel that a one-credit-per-line view would be the best way to effectively convey the credits on a name page.
