I would like to know how to get to the year in the movie.list that I want.to get to, for instance if I want.to get to the 1970's I go right to there instead of having to start at the beginning 1898 and have to hit next til I get to the 1970's

Scott: As agof suggests, you should try an Advanced Search. The Advanced Search page for titles can be found at https://www.imdb.com/search/title/ .
To find horror movies of the 1970s, you could select:
under Title Type -- Feature Film
under Release Date -- 1970 to 1979
under Genres -- Horror
then scroll down and click "Search".
There are multiple ways to sort and refine a search such as this, but this will give you an idea of how to start.
