Movies are added multiple times to list?

How do you manage duplicates, is this a certain setting?

The thing is, I personally add movies via the yellow button (dropdown) and if a movie is already listed in one of my lists, I can obviously not add it again, unless I first remove it.

So that's why I figured it was some type of bug, because if you use this dropdown, it's not possible to add duplicates. So I haven't got a clue how Cliffhanger (2026) ended up twice in this particular list.

Now that I think of it, how would you add a movie multiple times to a list? Like I said, it shouldn't be possible with the yellow dropdown menu.

By the way, I have just checked it, apparantly I added Cliffhanger (2026) on May 9 2026 and then again on May 16 2026, but I don't see how this is possible.

Actually, I'm so silly. I already figured it out, I probably copied it from My Watchlist, totally forgot about that! Only then it's possible to add multiple movies to the same list, my bad!

@Navin2000​ Yes, that’s right, plus also in edit mode you can also add any title directly to a list via the form at the top … in your case https://www.imdb.com/list/ls599645664/edit/

Totally forgot about this, I never used this feature. I do wonder though, isn't it possible to implement some type of warning, when you are about the add duplicate items? Would be cool.
