Lists

Lists are impossible to use. When you are making a list and you change the order it always seems to randomise the order. It never just stays in the order that I make it. Quite frustrating so hopefully this bug is fixed, or will have to use a different website

this regards every list I’ve ever made I can’t send 100 links to you. So this has been happening for 13 years and no one has attempted to fix it😂😂. Fantastic customer service

@Andrewg2002​ Thanks for the confirmation on the issue. The list software is amongst the oldest still running on IMDb and it is scheduled to be updated in 2024. We have made multiple attempts to fix the numbering issue in recent years, but unfortunately none have been successful.  The new software is a rewrite from scratch and so will not have the same problems. 

The renumbering issue affects a small number of customers on a small number of (often) larger lists.  Yours is the first problem report indicating that a large number of lists are affected at the same time.  In the meantime before the new software launches, we can renumber any lists with the issue if you provide the URLs. 

It would be useful to know if you are re-ordering your lists via the web site or via the iOS app?
