Lists: Save default sort order/list view for Lists

I think Your Lists is an improvement over MyMovies, but there were usability options that were not carried over that I think should be added. For instance, the Default sort order and Default list view. I think each list should have their own individual settings and not have a default that is applied to all lists. Also, I do not understand the lack of choices with the default sort order. You currently allow for "number of ratings" to be listed low to high, but not high to low. "IMDb rating" can be listed bad to good, but not good to bad. "Your rating" can be listed low to high, but not high to low. "Oldest added first", but not Newest added first. Please add these.

This is particularly troublesome when trying to add a movie to an existing list. The dropdown box (labeled "+Watchlist") is only sorted by date entered. This makes is extremely difficult to find a list in a large collection.

The sorting order for all those options can be modified with the widget located next to the sort criteria drop-down menu (see image below). Click on that button to toggle the order (descending/ascending).

I'm aware of that. It is useful in its own way, but my issue is with the default settings. I don't want to have to click that widget every time to get the settings I want for the list. I'm also aware I could set up a bookmark with the settings I want. However, if the list is public any one viewing my list is not going to see it the way and order I intend it to be seen. In addition, I'm not the type of person to have a million bookmarks - I figure one bookmark to my Your Lists page should be enough for IMDb. Put simply, I don't understand why the options I outlined in my original post are not built into Your Lists as default options.

Not that list, this list. Also, changing the sort order where you mentioned does "save" the sort order and use it in the watchlist either.

Also when in "grid view," you can not see your notes for each movie on the list, but you  can on the other "view" options.

I had exactly the same problem and Googled to find the answer, and found this.  It is annoying that when I link someone to my lists, when they click on any, it is sorted from lowest to highest? Why? The other way round I'd understand, but why would I want to see the lowest of any category first, and therefore by forced to change it manually each time.

Yes I am also having the same issue. I cannot sort and save my list using IMDB rating with list view. Every time I need to redo the same thing which is annoying.

Retention of sort orders appears to be  New problem that has arrived with "upgrades". Previously not a problem. Just a simple choice of Alphabetical and save that works would suffice. It did before.
