Lists: Add people to lists directly from name pages

Agreed. It seems an odd lack, presumably because there is no watchlist for people, so we don't get the button. I'd be happy to have a people watchlist, that would keep you updated of the projects by those people. It'd need a bit of work at the backend but it'd be handy as I'm sure most people who use the site have favourite directors and/or actors whose work they follow.

I fully agree it would be useful to have a button to add Name (people) and have a names watch list.

It may also make sense to have buttons to add Characters, Images and Videos.

I like the ADD TO WATCH LIST feature for movies and shows and it got me thinking, how about giving users the chance to FAVORITE a particular person (actor, director, writer, set designer, whomever) so that we could go to a page and say "Hey, I want to see more of something by X" ... might seem redundant, but for every Molly Ringwald I do remember, there's a Hilary Angelo I forget about.

Can you implement this feature? I think it's a must and it's a bit surprising to see it's not already there. Simply add a similar or exact same option of "add to" dropdown bar and let us add people (actors, actresses, characters) to lists. I have a couple of people lists and I really miss this feature. I think it'll increase popularity of "people lists" exponentially.

Plz imdb add a button "add to list" for the actor pages!!!

This idea was suggested over two years ago and is a popular idea. I also clicked the like button shortly after it was suggested. Since it appears that it will not be implemented any time soon, here is a work around, albeit not as convenient.

1. Create a person list. For sake of argument call it: "My Favorite People".
2. Whenever you find a person page of one of your favorite people, open the list in on window and edit it.
3. Copy the link to the people page to the search box at the bottom of the page labeled: "Add a name to this list:".
4. Click the yellow Search button.
5. Only one person should appear in the search list. Click the name.
6. Optionally add a description for that new entry.
7. Repeat steps 3 through 6 until you are finished.
8. Click the yellow Done button.

This feature would be very useful, and I'm surprised it's not already a feature! As great as all the other extra features suggested here sound, just a basic 'Add to List' button with a dropdown menu to select which list on every actor's profile would be perfect. Please add this!

I asked the same question five years ago (where there was no getsatisfaction yet for imdb), and there is still NO BUTTON! I don't know why this should be so difficult.
