I really, really, reaaally hate the new site design but I use the site all the time. Is there a chance that you'll leave an option for users to still use the old design ? I think that I'm not the only one that hates this phone looking garbage.

I've been using it now for a couple weeks and it's actually pretty good. It seems they have some additional items in the credits section too for when they did "making of" specials. I miss the trivia section though. It could use more bio pictures, but only when you click on them! I wish there were a bit of a middle ground - oh wait, there was one a month ago.

Is this just me or is this another argument basic data should be compulsory.

Utterly disaster... The pervious version is far better than this, can't useful info as fast as the previous one, there is no duration info about any film or series...

@Shiva143 Thanks for the feedback. The running time is still there. Perhaps you checked a title for which we do not have this information?  Here is one which does -> https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9620292/ -- the duration is at the top of the page directly under the title (see red highlighting):

and at the bottom in the "Technical Specs" section too:

Hope this helps.

Where are the similar titles that were on the old version?

With the new UI changes to IMDB the release date for a given title seems to have vanished.  Unfortunately a lot of relevant information has been moved/hidden in a cloud of garbage (e.g. actors pictures are bigger, which is nice, but the character(s) that they portray are gone.)  Is this information being missing an oversight, or was it moved somewhere that I have yet to locate?

Never mind.  It is tucked away in the new "Details" section which shows the full release date.  At least before the year was given beside the title in parentheses.  Ah useless UI changes to justify someone's useless job.

How do I switch back? This is terrible for finding quick info on cast and I very much prefer the old version

This is awful. The old design was way better. How do I switch back?

Right now I can get the old format back by logging in to IMDb with my old (20 years now) IMDb login.

bobwolfe - I tried that but they've messed up my password ... again ... so I can't log on at all.

It certainly looks stylish, but you've just managed to show LESS information on the title and actor pages meaning I have to click around more (this is why I never liked the mobile site).

Redesigns shouldn't reduce utility so much.

@jedijesse Thanks for the feedback.  We have not removed any content from the new title pages -- do you have an example to highlight the problem?

The actor/name pages have not had a major redesign since 2010 so please can you provide more information on what you think has changed?

You may find this helpful -> https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/general-information/why-is-imdb-displaying-differently-on-my-browser/GF2ZAR69V859XLHF

Hope this helps.

Everything has gigantic headers. Instead of a list of actors, I get these gigantic headshots that I have to scroll around (and there's definitely less of them visible then the list previously provided)

Unfortunately, I can't provide a direct comparison, because you've taken away the old version.

re: actor/name page... likely I landed on the mobile version, which has the same problem and assumed it was part of your redesign.

Please prioritize data and readability over style and flashiness. I'm here for information.

"We have not removed any content from the new title pages" NO, you just made it WORSE. The little caption photos are larger, but they're not better. And we can't see them WHILE we look at the story description. Don't you understand - the OLD format was great. We had everything we wanted. Did you pay so much money to the programmers that you feel cheated going back to the way we all liked it? Because we would all be SO happy if you could just restore that old version.

Since the new updated IMDB I can no longer find where to watch stuff. It used to be right under the description near the top, but I’ve looked up maybe 10 movies and none of them list anything other than Prime. That cannot be right because I know for a fact Soul is free on Disney (for example) but according to IMDb it’s only available to watch on prime. For a ridic price. Please help!

@LMS14 Thanks for the feedback. Watch options are still over towards the top right (just above "Add to Watchlist") however availability varies by region.  First of all, Disney+ is not yet a watch partner on IMDb so we would never have had the D+ option for Soul, sorry.  If you are in the US then we have many watch partners, including:

Apple TV+

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10986410/

Netflix

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10048342/

Hulu

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9484998/

HBO

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10155688/

Do you have a mobile device with the IMDb app? If so, how do the watch offers look there vs. the site?

Hope this helps.

I hate the new format! I was used to the old one and have been for the last 20 years. The new one is too glitzy and takes up too much room on my screen. Please change it back or at least let us choose which one we want. Remember, IF IT AIN'T BROKE DONT 'FIX' IT!!!

I found if I log in to IMDb with my old log in I get the old version back again. We'll see how long that works. TMDb is OK but just OK.

No "More Like This" titles.

If there are no photos in the galley, there is no button to add any.  Only the message: "It looks like we don't have photos for this title yet. You can browse other available content for this title, such as plot summary, trivia, goofs, etc."

Note: This comment was created from a merged conversation originally titled Can't post photos after update if no photos are already in galley.

Your current layout turned TMDB in a better ergonomic choice.

In Title Reference View, on IMDb, the plot outline is near the top, and the thumbnail image for any trailer is much smaller, like one eighth the width of the page. The interesting thing about the giant video block for the trailer is that the same style existed with the previous layout in Title Standard View, on IMDb.
