Imdb.com Unviewable

imdb.com appears to have become fundamentally unviewable in all three major browsers, with text links superimposed over images, and all the content piled on the left extreme of the screen, with the rest of the space blank. What is happening here? I know that Amazon purchased IMDB. This reminds me of the way Amazon made it virtually impossible to purchase music on amazon.com by eliminating song samples. I hope this is a temporary glitch.

@YrretEel Sorry about that. What you are seeing is an issue caused by either the CSS and/or JavaScript support files which create the page layouts on IMDb not loading properly at your location. This is not a global problem, but neither is it an isolated problem only affecting you.

We have seen a small number of reports of this issue over the last week. If you have a VPN, please try disabling it, or better, if you have another network available (for example, using your phone as a WiFi hot-spot) try again.

If none of the above works, please can you let us know in which country you are located and please can you also upload screen-grabs of the IMDb home page plus an example name page and an example title page which shows the problem.

@YrretEel Also please could you confirm when this started happening and how often you use IMDb? For example, have you been using IMDb daily and it just started yesterday or have you not visited IMDb for a while and it was like this upon your return?

@YrretEel It appears this is likely an issue with Norton VPN — are you using this software? If so, disabling it will fix the problem (and then please complain directly to Norton so they can fix it in future updates).

Thanks for the suggestions, Col. I do use Norton VPN, but have been for years without any problems with IMDB. I don't go to the site often; this was the first time in several weeks. However, I just turned it off and IMDB displays just fine in Firefox. Then, I turned it back on and reloaded IMDB and it displayed just fine. Ditto in Chrome. Perhaps there was some temporary conflict between Norton and IMDB that has been resolved.
