Imdb top 250 of the year 1996 features episode from tv series not an actual movie

Basically the title, are there some mistake?

So to get the badge I have to see an episode of the random tv series when all im interested is movies, particularly from top 250 lists?

Thanks @Peter_pbn this is exactly the situation.

In the earlier days, shorts and TV movies were allowed in the Top 250 so these titles remain in the historical record (and therefore the badge eligibility).

Yes indeed I was talking about The Gathering as Peter mentioned.

Thank you for clarification @Col_Needham it seems that I will have to either throw a random digit to "Rate" it in order to get a badge of this year top 250 or either watch it fully..
