IMDb Redesigns Event Pages
We are excited to announce the launch of IMDb’s redesigned Event pages on IMDb.com! Over the coming weeks, IMDb will roll out these updated pages. These updates bring a modern, clean, and intuitive presentation, designed to enhance your browsing experience and make discovering entertainment events easier and more enjoyable than ever.
Key enhancements include:
- Improved Navigation: A new "Jump to" drop-down at the top of each event page for quick access to awards and categories, complemented by a handy "Back to top" button
- Enhanced Discoverability: A new Popular Events sidebar to help you explore related events of interest
- Interactive Features: Rate titles and add them to your Watchlist directly from event pages
- Customizable Views: "Collapse all" and "Expand all" options for better content organization
- Enriched Data: Event dates on select pages, "Also Known As" Event names for better recognition, and comprehensive company information on award nominations
To experience the enhanced features firsthand, we invite you to explore our updated pages for two of entertainment's most prestigious events: the Cannes Film Festival and the Primetime Emmy Awards. You can also find a comprehensive list of all our event coverage on the All Events page.
We hope you enjoy these latest improvements, and thank you for continuing to make IMDb the world’s most trusted source for movie, TV, and entertainment content. As always we welcome your feedback – please feel free to post your questions and comments to this thread.

As expected, the "+ Add to Watchlist" button makes pages load much slower, in the previous version it loaded instantly.
Without that button it would be fine.

The 2024 Cannes Film Festival page takes about 20 seconds to load all elements (on mobile). On the previous version, it opened in 2 seconds.
I think it's a general problem of IMDb with the "new" layout, everything is much slower now than 5 or more years ago, which is ironic because the internet is getting faster.
