how to know if a movie is from a franchise?

Most of the time I'm looking for movies ratings on IMDB and all of my ratings are from there as well, but how do I know if a movie is from a franchise because not all the franchisees use numbers in their title to separate the parts, for example, I recently came across a film named (10 Cloverfield Lane 2016) I watched it then I realized that it was the second part of a franchise called ( Cloverfield franchise). Still, unfortunately for me, I didn't know I watched the second part, so how should I know officially from IMDB if a movie is from a franchise? or if it is a sequel or prequel. I know in the More Like This section you can find all the parts of the moves, but it's not like it labelled them that you know for sure that they are always a sequel or prequel for your movies that you are looking at.

there is only one way around to find out for sure if the move you are looking at if it is from a franchise, you have to google it or look at Wikipedia or you have to look at them in ratingraph.com to find out if it is part of a franchise, which is helpful but as an IMDB user I like to see a future like that in the site so that way I don't have to switch between sites on my mobile
