How do I exclude dead actors from search listings.

This is the manual prompting I have input into search.  The segments of this search are Babyboomers, who are British, male and to list 500 of them.  Of the final segment, I can't find a prompt to exclude actors who have passed away.  I have tried:
* &!died

* &death_date=!

* &!death_date=,

* &death_date=!,
* &death_date=1,

* &death_date=X,

None of these apparently seem to work.  Does this function exist, or am I doing it wrong, because the late great Sir Alan Rickman - and others - keep coming up in my search though I want them excluded.
