Hide or separate talk-show/nonfiction references from other references on connections page

One of the interesting things about the connections page is seeing how other filmmakers have paid homage to earlier films. Unfortunately, for many movies, the vast majority of references are from episodes of talk shows, podcasts, game-shows or other nonfiction titles. Discussing a film/TV series on a talk show (or using it as a trivia item in a game-show) is a vastly different thing than creatively paying homage to a film in a scripted film or TV show. Also, it's a lot less interesting. The connections page would become a lot more fascinating to peruse if one of these changes was made:

  • Talk-show/nonfiction references were separated into a different section of the connections page.
  • Users were given the option to hide talk-shows/nonfiction from the "referenced in" section of the page.

See The Godfather (1972) for an example of why this is an issue. The "Referenced in" section has 2,243 entries and an enormous chunk of those references (especially in the past few decades) are from nonfiction titles (talk-shows, podcasts, game-shows, etc.). It is very difficult to sift through all of that if one is specifically looking for homages and stuff like that from fictional films.

Another issue is that a majority of references are often from TV episodes, making it difficult if one is specifically looking for references in feature films, which tend to be more sparse. Perhaps a better way to deal with this would be an option to separate references by title type?
