help needed with goof declining

I've found goof in movie Aliens, added that into Goofs section "Factual Mistake" and was brief but clear with explanation why such thing is impossible. But it was still declined "Unable to verify." Even explanation and factual background is self-explanatory. What to do? #240601-010623-486000

@magy357 This is a great goof, however, it was likely somewhat incorrectly rejected because you refer to it being present in the “special edition” which no doubt had the approval team question its eligibility. From memory, this shot/goof is in the original release, so I recommend you submit again and remove the reference to the special edition (which in any case is referenced elsewhere in the goofs section as the extended edition) and provide a link to this Sprinklr thread as evidence. If it really is only in the extended edition, please reword to match the other extended edition goofs. Once resubmitted, please post the 18-digit reference here and we will ensure it is approved.

Thanks a lot for your advice and help. The truth is that I don't know for sure if it was extended or not. Firstly I've seen it in cinema and there wasn't gateway station scene at the beginning. Then I watched some rip from DVD or BluRay and there it was. But whether that DVD/BR rip was extended edition or not, I've seen nowhere stated. Contribution #250413-232539-326000

Hi, @magy357. I own both versions of Aliens (1986). Actually, I timestamped most of the trivia/goof entries on the IMDb page by two separate contributions in 2015 and 2024 (#151003-084923-861000 & #240917-162303-321000). If you would like to post the contents of your submission here, I may be able to help you determine if the scene appears in the original theatrical version or only in the extended version.

I guess this scene appears on extended version. I have BR rip 2:34:26 length. The scene with Earth view from Gateway Station start at 5:15 until 5:35.

You're correct. 154 mins is the extended cut of the film. However, that scene also appears on the theatrical version (from 5:07 until 5:27). Cheers!
