Feedback: Option to disable location-based title translations
Hello IMDb Team,
I am writing to share some feedback regarding how movie and TV show titles are displayed on the site. Currently, I am logged into my account with my preferred language set to US English, but my location is set to Finland.
Because of my location setting, many titles are automatically displaying in Finnish, even though the rest of the site's interface remains in English. This mixed-language experience is quite frustrating, as I do not use Finnish titles for movies and prefer the original or English titles.
Could you please consider prioritizing the user's selected language preference over their geographical location for title displays? Alternatively, adding a clear, global toggle to disable all localized title translations would be incredibly helpful for users living abroad.

This is already possible, please see https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/general-information/site-preferences/GDL9NWJRKWRH5L6K and specifically set your country/region to "Original" on https://www.imdb.com/preferences/general/ (it is the first item on the menu) -- this will turn off the title localisation as you are requesting.

I believe you should set the region to "United States". Since that option includes the "Original", which allows you to view titles in their original language rather than translated versions, I think it refers to the region of the titles themselves, not the user's region.
