Dropped Title Section & or Hidden Media

Idea: A dropped media section and a way to hide said media from main page or app content.

Any movies/shows you have stopped watching and or dropped but do not want to see on IMDb anymore.

Also the same for those that have been watched and rated, yet still no longer wish to see.

^EDIT: I was made aware that voting already hides said titles from being recommended to you. So I am now just referring to dropped titles that you have not voted on.

I find with as many titles as there are now on Imdb and more that keep on coming, you need to be able to organize and personalize your content more. That having movies/shows that no longer interest you or those you have dropped entirely, no longer showing as recommendations or related titles and hiding these from public genre lists. This change could be a great addition to IMDb.

Being able to hide what you have seen and what you do not want to see, would make your recommended content much more manageable and personalized, without also being cluttered by everything else that may no longer interest you. This should allow watchlists to become faster and easier to make.

Just an idea from a fellow media lover who has watched too much yet sometimes struggles to categorize and prioritize his media.

What does everyone else think?

1. Yes to both Dropped Title Section and Hidden Media

2. Yes to just a Dropped Title Section

3. Yes to just Hidden media

(Hiding movies/shows that do not interest you and that you have not voted for)

4. No

@Ranpaq  Thanks for the idea; just on this point …

would make your recommended content much more manageable and personalized

We already remove titles from your personalised recommendations after you vote for them.  For example, https://www.imdb.com/what-to-watch/top-picks/ should only include titles for which you have not voted.

@Col_Needham

Thank you for clarifying on my error there. Didn't notice this since I hadn't finished cataloging and voting for everything yet. Will make an edit in for this.

Appreciate you responding!
