Displaying bug vs update still in progress?
Hi, everyone!
For some time now, I have noticed that IMDb seems to have the wise idea of subdividing the voice actors section into subsections for each language. Each of these subsections will be headed by a label with the name of the corresponding language. I assume that, in a later update, the current attribute with the language in parentheses for each credit (which now clutters and somewhat distracts from the content) will be removed.
The problem is that only the subheading with the language of the first voice actor listed in that section appears. When the cast list for that language ends, the header introducing the dubbing actors for the next language is not displayed.
Here's an example: Mononoke-hime (1997) (Princess Mononoke)
Or here's another one: Joker: Folie à Deux (2024)
This error affects not only the ES-ES version of the pages, but also the original EN version. I imagine that the developers are aware of this issue, but as this has been going on for some time now, I thought it appropriate to report it just in case...

@ljdoncel Thanks, yes, this is a work-in-progess vs. being a bug. If you have the latest version of the IMDb iOS or Android apps, you can see we are a little bit further along there into separating the different languages, which in turn frees us up to add support for more dubbing languages.

Just to say that we have removed these duplicative language attributes next to each person’s credit, as requested.
We have also launched a new language menu under the “Voice Actor - Dubbing” section, instead of a big long list of all the credits with language attributes.
