Display Altername Names
I sometimes get confused when an actor that I know better by an alternate name is listed on another name. I would like to have the possibility to display the name that I'm the most comfortable with.

If I understand correctly, IMDb's site preferences system ought to have some additional features? In that case, I can see how this proposed feature is very loosely analogous to being able to adjust the display settings for IMDb title pages. Cool.
I should point out that doing this on an nconst-by-nconst basis can be sorted out by the creation of a third-party plugin, add-on, extension or monkey script. Otherwise, there would have to be a set of some kind of uniform metrics by which IMDb registrants would be able "customize" their respective experiences with the site, and by that I mean, like the following: (1) an option that causes the name by which a person is most frequently credited to be displayed; (2) an option that causes the name by which a person has been credited for the longest contiguous period of time to be displayed; (3) an option that causes the name by which a person has been credited for the longest cumulative period of time to be displayed; (4) an option that causes the name by which a person is credited in the most popular titles (say, the top fifteenth percentile of cumulative unique page hits) in his or her filmography to be displayed; (5) an option that causes the name by which a person is credited among the lead billing in the most popular titles in his or her filmography to be displayed; (6) an option that causes the name by which a person is was first publicly credited to be displayed; (7) an option via some other synthesis.
Should any of this be accomplished, there is one thing that users of any given preference ought to be careful about, and that is the public sharing of screen grabs of site with the customized interface in effect.
