My issues was not so much that two clicks are too many, but more that it be visible as it would be much more frequently used. Many of the suggestions I've seen here are for features covered in "advanced search" but the person just didn't know advanced search was there.
I was meaning to report it to GS, as I don't think it is the first time that has happened to me. I left it open in a browser tab to remind me, although I've since buried it somewhere in my rush to have a 1,000 open at once.
The most frequent, it seems, answer to "Share an Idea" posts seems to be, "You can already do this with "Advanced Title Search." It was this way, for years, on the old Help Board also. Many users, some having been active for many years, do not even know advanced search exists when it's the most valuable tool available to users looking for types of movies or specific movies. It might be nice to call the current search field on each page something like "Simple Search" or "Quick Search," then add a link next to the box for "Complex Search" or even use its name, "Advanced Search," which would be a quick link to the advanced search tools. Or use a dropdown menu for "Advanced Title Search," "Advanced Name Search," etc.

In the search area at the top of the page, click on the down arrow beside All; click on Advanced Search >>; Click on the Advanced Search you want.
On the Pro site, click on the word Search beside the Search box at the top of the page, then click on the type of Advanced Search you desire.

I'd bet it's severely underused.
