Advanced Search does not find alternate titles

This is a fundamental flaw in the "Advanced Search" function:

https://www.imdb.com/search/title/

For instance, if you look for "Merrie Melodies" as title and "Short" as genre:

https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?title=merrie%20melodies&title_type=short

The result is zero, when it should bring up dozens upon dozens of shorts whose alternate title is "Merrie Melodies Season X Number Y" and so on.

Paradoxically, if you do a simple search on the main IMDb page, all those shorts do appear...

https://www.imdb.com/find/?q=merrie%20melodies

...but of course, they cannot be ordered by release date, or alphabetically, or any of the other useful options that "Advanced Search" provides.

Ergo, the "Advanced Search" function should be improved in order to make it find "alternate titles" and not just "display/original titles" as it functions now.
