Add a new graph on Profile section

It would be a good idea for having a better look on how many movies,
series, documentaries etc the user has watched, to have a graph below the two graphs that already exist in the Profile section.
This new graph will present the movies that the user has watched for each year separately since the creation of his account on IMDb. I understand that the first graph presents the movies that the user has watched according to his rating and the second graph presents the movies the user has watched according to the release date of the movie but what I suggest is very different.

So your idea is to have a histogram covering the years of IMDb membership, and the height of each bar is the number of titles rated that year?

Exactly, a bar plot with x axis the years that the member is active (for example from 2012 to 2020, with step 1) and y axis the number of movies he/she rated each year.

*I know that if you export your data and run it with excel you can easily create that plot but it would be better if this plot exists in the Profile section of each member

What Phil wrote is correct and I agree with him, IMDb changes the date of the rating of the user according to the date he/she rate it.

It would be good for IMDb to keep the date of the first rating of the movie and if a user change his/her rating in later time only his/her rating will change and not the date of his/her first rating.

But at this time it would be good to have the graph and in later version there can be a lot of changes and improvements.

I just add another reason for which a similar plot might not be always so interesting.

Many IMDB members like me started watching movies well before internet even existed. It still happens to me to rate now a movie I watched when I was a child. So the plot would not be so descriptive in my case.

Yet, it's a good idea and if it's helpful or interesting for someone, why not implementing it.
