actors don't appear in starmeter anymore...

Hi,

for example

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2186074/

Thea was in Top 5000 as the last starmeter update was released on Monday.

Now she moved to the end of my lists, if  I sort them by popularity. I hope, actors can't indeed say "I don't want to be rated anymore".

@czender Sorry, but this person is not in the Top 5,000 this week; she is the 600K range and she is correctly sorted on your lists.  She has not even been in the Top 500,000 since April.

Hope this helps.

Hi Col, thanks for your answer. Good to know, that people don't get lost.

But there must still be a mistake. For example, I'm following the list ls547634552.

Monday July, 1st, immediately after the last starmeter update she has been rank 220 of 382 in this list, today she's on last position though the starmeter wasn't updated in the meantime.

That's why I asked if some of the people decided to let imdb take them out of the starmeter rankings.

@czender Here’s her STARmeter graph for the last six months:

The names immediately above her now all have a better meter placement. Note that if you checked the list early on Monday, it can take a couple of hours for all of the new meter rankings to propagate everywhere — this is the only explanation we can think of for the temporary higher placement.

@Col_Needham thanks for the explanation and the time you took for answering me. Next week, I'll wait until tuesday.

Hi Col,

I'm referring to https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/imdbcom/actors-dont-appear-in-starmeter-anymore/66863d1b287b283dd0d53097?commentId=6686a9f2e025215d29e0b989&replyId=6686d4f5287b283dd0d5453f

which is a marked as solved problem.

Maybe I found the reason. The code was changed from nm6406427 to nm2186074 like 2 actresses would have been merged, so Thea maybe "earned" the rank of the lower rated actress... and the diagram, you showed me also refers to the lower rated actress of those 2?

Chris

Note: This comment was created from a merged conversation originally titled actress dosn't appear in starmeter anymore

@czender Yes, in the event of a merge, it will be the lower numbered nm-ID whose historical traffic is maintained so that would explain a possible difference vs. before.
