Ability to exclude results based on country/language from advanced title search without having to modify result URLs manually
Hello!
I've seen many threads about this very question however the suggested answer was to always modify results URL parameters with "!" operator in front of them to exclude results.
Would't it be great if this was possible within the ATS UI itself without having to manually add/modify parameters to every result URL? I mean it works, but can be abit tedious specially if you perform lots of different searches.
My suggestion is to implement checkboxes similar to refine options under keyword search [1] for both language and country fields in ATS. And have all of them selected by default (everything included in results) and user have option to uncheck the countries/languages they are not interested in so that upon click of the "search" button, the relevant URL will be automatically generated with "not" operators in place therefore user don't have to add them manually.
Alternatively, leave the country and language lists as they are; but implement a flip switch that inverts the function. [2] The default option is to "include" results ONLY from that selected language/country however once the switch is flipped it would "exclude" results (by adding not operator upon submission) from the selection and show the rest. Imo the former option is much more elegant but I think latter should be easier to implement.
Also the ability to select multiple languages/countries would be a welcome addition, for example; ctrl+left click should do. (This feature seem to be already present. crtl+left click and shift+down arrow does the job!)
Please consider adding this function as many users would find it extremely useful! Thanks in advance.
