A suggested improvement to the search (title/name) field

Until fairly recently, if you searched for a title or name in IMDB and it was not found, the text that you'd typed remained in the search field, making it easy to modify a typo and resubmit the search. Now that field is cleared as soon as a search (even if unsuccessful) has been made, so you need to retype what you are looking for (hopefully without typos this time!). Would it be possible to revert to the older way, and not clear the search field?
