Keeping track of tv series is uncomfortable

This year I started to use IMDb to keep track of all movies and tv shows I watch. I really enjoy this process for movies, it's simple enough, but when it comes to tv shows, I feel like it's a bit of a hassle, to be honest. This experience is not limited to the mobile app. When I do it on a laptop, it's very similar. Let's say I watched an episode of a show I'm currently watching. These are the shortest steps I found, that I have to take:

  1. Open the app
  2. Scroll down to the watchlist row (or go to my profile and click on "watchlist" or go to my profile and scroll down to watchlist)
  3. Click the show
  4. Click episode guide
  5. Click the season I watched
  6. Click the three dots on the right
  7. Click rate title
  8. Click the number of stars
  9. Click Rate
  10. Again, Click the three dots on the right
  11. Click Add to list
  12. Click my Watched list
  13. Click Done

This feels like so much work! I don't know what my exact suggestion is, but I would love for this process to be much easier. In an ideal world, I should be able to do it much quicker. Let's say, in the iOS app, there is an extra screen in the bottom navigation. When I open it, I can already see a list of movies and tv series in my "currently watching" list. Next to every title there is a button that marks the next episode as watched, with an option to add a rating. This way, my number of steps is reduced to

  1. Open the app
  2. Choose the screen
  3. Click "I watched next episode"
  4. In the prompt I click a star-rating

Today, IMDb acts as if it didn't know what I'm watching and what I'm trying to do. The functionality is great and powerful but buried so well, it's difficult to use.
