IMDB App on iPad Displays Message that OS Update is Required

Question

The IMDB iPad app displays a message every time the app is opened indicating that an OS update is required. My iPad has the most recent update and there are no iPadOS updates available. As the message doesn’t include specifics regarding my OS name or version, the message is suspicious as it includes an ‘Update’ button.

@CzarMark Please see https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/mobile-web-apps/imdb-app-general-troubleshooting/GPV9HCYQGA8XT8QZ — if you cannot upgrade your iPad to iPadOS 17 (or higher) and also upgrade the IMDb iOS app to version 14.6 (or higher) then the app will no longer function later this year. This is why we are messaging you now. Fortunately the IMDb site at http://www.imdb.com/ is now fully responsive, which means all pages work on any size of device, and will therefore work on your iPad just fine. The site actually has more functionality and content than the app these days in any case. You can even create a link to the site on your iPad’s home (or other) screen which will provide a shortcut to the IMDb site just as if it was an app. Hope this helps.
