Incorrect Movie/Series Count in My Lists

I'm having an issue with the movie count in my custom lists. In one my lists, I have 350 movies added, but the list is showing only 320. Similarly, in my another list, I have 54 series added, but it's showing 52. The numbers displayed next to the list names aren't matching the actual number of items in the lists. Has anyone else experienced this, or does anyone know how to fix it?

Hello @betulerturk,

In this case, we recommend you to uninstall the App and then re-install it. If you are still facing the same issue, please confirm and write us back with the following:

• Device model
• OS version number
• IMDb App version number
• Screenshots

Your device model and software version number can be found in your phone settings, typically in "General information" and "About" sections.

Hey @Jon,

I realized I didn’t explain this quite right the first time, so I just wanted to clarify the issue I’m having. On the main screen, it says I have 320 movies in my custom list, and when I count them, that number is correct. However, when I open the list, the numbers before the movie titles are off — they skip a few numbers. For example, it goes from 270 to 274, and it ends up going all the way up to 350, even though there are only 320 movies in the list. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but the problem is still there.

Here are the details you asked for:

  • Device Model: Samsung Galaxy A11
  • OS Version: Android 12
  • IMDb App Version: 9.1.2.109120200
  • Screenshots:

Hello @betulerturk,

Thank you for your patience! Unfortunately this is a long-standing bug in the lists system which especially affects large lists.

The lists system is now over 13 years old and is some of the oldest remaining software on IMDb. We are actively working upon its replacement as part of the on-going design and technology migration, which will address the issues.
