The ratings comparison feature already exists. If you make your ratings public and visit the profile page of a friend who also has public ratings, then we show you all kinds of information relating to common likes and dislikes. For example, try visiting my page:

Well that's nice, but how about upgrading it? Friends following each other, and being able to receive notifications of their rating and watchlists. NOW THAT'S WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT

It's a great idea and is currently under consideration for iOS (and the other nobile platforms as well). However, we have no hard ETA at this time. Stay tuned.

Well you should make an ETA meeting, I mean it's not only me who thinks this is a good idea, I'd LOVE to compare movies with my friends and I can't! This idea is innovative and convenient! Please make it happen!

If IMDB was a social app it would be my favorite app. I could follow other users that share similar movie interests. Then have a friends feed where k could see all my friends latest ratings and comments. We could exchange comments and banter with each rating. It would be so useful to weed out lame movies and identify quality obscure titles. Please pursue these features.

Check-Ins feature to keep track of your films allowing yourself to search between movies and inform you when was the time when you see it (checked in).
Also it would be nice to compare it with other users and be able to integrate it in some services for recommendations like plex or something like that.
