Are the watchlist notifications even working?

Question

I was looking for an app that notifies me when a movie or an episode from a series I follow releases, and I thought IMDb was perfect for that.(Ps. I'm a perfectionist, sadly). so anyway I started adding all the big projects releasing in 2025, 2026 and 2027 (a total of 555 items) to my watchlist but I only got some trailer notifications so I thought maybe It was a bit too much so I downsized it to 202, then to 110 and finally I only left 55 items releasing next month (June 2025) but still no use.I also made sure in-app notifications settings and site email preference are all turned on and of course I permitted notifications for the app in my phone settings.And I chose united states as a region and made sure every single item in my watchlist has an upcoming release date.So what did I miss? Or is it just false advertisment and there's no such a thing as watchlist updates?Hoping for a reply soon, thanks in advance.

@Shadow457 Sorry to hear about the issues. The notifications should work fine under the circumstances you described above. Please see the help for in-app notifications at https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/mobile-web-apps/imdb-app-notifications/GVNMBZ3CAVKYKZ4U and for email notifications, see https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/general-information/manage-your-email-subscriptions-and-watchlist-notifications/GFSALECHJBMR4U5B and ensure all of the conditions which are required apply to you. Also note that because IMDb is an Amazon.com company, if you have opted out of all notifications from Amazon.com at any point in the past then we are also required not to contact you, regardless of any IMDb.com settings. If none of the above explains the situation, please provide examples of at least 3-5 titles for which you should have been notified yet you were not. Note that there is a large limit on Watchlist items (10,000) so removing items will not improve your chances of being notified. Also please provide the URL to which you are redirected when you access: https://www.imdb.com/profile as this will help us trace your account for further investigation. Hope this helps.
