Trying to find two movie names

There are two movies that I`m trying to learn its names. I do not remember when or where I saw them but only their plots. It develops in the middle ages; a father is dying and ask his son, that as the new head of the family, to take care of the mother and daughters. The son has the best of intentions but through the influence of his wife, he starts to manipulate the facts in his mind in such a way that every day restricts even more what he is willing to give to his mother and sisters. For example, he started thinking to give a castle for these women to live and ends up thinking to charge them a rent.The second movie, it`s a kid with magical powers living in a household with several members, he realizes that he has magical powers such as moving objects or others that I do not remember. The kid takes a hold of its powers and thinking that the others enjoy the same things as he does, makes the adults to eat only candies or play all day with children toys, the adults are in a way slaved or otherwise they confront the rage of the kid.If you, please can tell me the name of these movies I would appreciate it.
