What about a production date then?

Without the help of somebody who worked on the production, we can only guess that 1990s Outer Limits episodes were ordinarily shot anywhere between a month's time and a semester's time before originally airing. To be fair, it isn't unusual at all for filming dates to be missing from IMDb, since most of the time, IMDb contributors don't know the information, and the cast, crew and publicists aren't necessarily contributors themselves, at least not in that particular context.

Well can you give me an approximate date when you think it was filmed since it aired in february of 1996?  Just your opinion...

I would probably be wanting to see the particular episode again before doing that.

@michaelreader​ I found a news that states this episode aired on Jul 16, 1995 was being filmed on May 2: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0667977/

It may give you some kind of idea maybe.

Also there is a news that states on December 1, 1995 someone who was working on the set of the show had his house burned down and his wife and children were hospitalized. It could be any episode of course but apparently they were filming for season 2 at that time.

Also, a news on "8 September 1995" says "Outer Limits resumed production this week"

A news on December 1 is saying this: "O'Keefe was here shooting a fun, scary role on The Outer Limits"

And that's the only episode with O'Keefe. Shooting location is Vancouver btw.

I think with this info we can assume the episode you are talking about was most likely filmed in December as well.

It mentions "M. Emmet Walsh" was on the episode, and this is the only episode with him.

I think these can give you a rough idea about episode 8's possible filming dates.

If the information would ever be known to IMDb, it would be visible at https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/edit?update=tt0667955:business_sd.correct/locations.correct, which is also where IMDb registrants would visit in order to contribute or correct the information. The broader objective ought to be about acquiring the filming dates and filming locations for every episode of The Outer Limits, but depending upon the production format followed by the original commissioners of all projects, they may not even have ever known the the exact dates, leaving such matters to the producers/directors/managers of individual episodes. I'm not learned in journalism, so I wouldn't even know where to begin. Thankfully, mbmb found some articles about other episodes from the same season. I do wonder if there exist some print material that was published but never made its way onto the the open internet.

Well, an IMDb registrant would be anybody who has created an IMDb member account for himself/herself, just like all those list makers and movie reviewers on IMDb. The commissioner of a project is an organization that hires people or other organizations to implement the project. So much is unknown about the behind-the-scenes aspects of The Outer Limits, an anthology series, that we're left to speculate how the making of episodes of the series comes together and about who knows what. For instance, we have questions like the following. Does the studio headquarters keep records of filming dates? Did the filmmakers of episodes even report this kind of information to the main studio? The budgets don't seem to have ever been made public, but the studio would definitely know how much was paid for each episode. Anyway, most episodes of The Outer Limits seem to have been shot in or near Vancouver.  If somebody could identify enough of the buildings appearing in Straight and Narrow, maybe an inquiry could be sent to the owners of those places. Unfortunately, the records from over twenty years ago may have been lost, leaving people to rely upon memory alone.
