Please help me find the movie I’m thinking of

The movie said I believe sometime in the late 50s maybe early 60s about a young pregnant unwell girl who is helped out by a man who lets her live in an apartment either above his deli or a butcher shop. He buys her groceries and such to help her out fall in love with her, even helps her deliver the baby the baby is born black with blue eyes. The woman gets flack for that the man helps her raise the baby as his own.
