Name this movie

Hi, I'm looking for a movie about a rich son who gets put in south pacific prison. His rich dad is trying to pull strings to get him out. He discovers some mystical power in prison. He tattoos his face and escapes from prison. His dad finally gets to visit his son's prison and sees some weird writing on the wall.  His dad went back to the USA but was kidnapped by someone. His dad's hand was cut off. THe autorities are looking for the kidnapper. The dad escapes as authorities are closing in. They find that the Dad's son had kidnapped the dad. The authorities chase the sun who gets shot jumping off the edge of a cliff into the water. He's powers are such that he is able to get the bullet pushed out of his back.  All through out the movie there is an image of a man directing a flock of birds to fly in circles and then crash into the ground.  I'd like to know the name of this movie.
