Name of a Horror (possibly vampire movie) in the 80s where someone walks into this large hall with a curtain at the end of it?

I only saw a clip of this movie on a VH1 show called "Flix" where they were showcasing horror movies.

From what I can remember, a clip of the movie (possibly from the 80s) that interests me showed someone walking in a large hall and at the end of it was like a curtain. I don't remember if he or she uncovered the curtain, but as the person got closer to the curtain, some creature or vampire came out of it and bit him or her, it that person fell to the ground and got bitten in the leg.  I think the curtain was blue. But it was so mysterious and surreal because that person walking in that hall was the only one there (except for the creature, lol). I think the floor had diamond-shaped designs, possibly checkered (black and white). 

It's not "Vamp".  I tried to find if someone uploaded that VH1 show on Youtube but I couldn't find the horror movie episode. 

Does anyone remember a movie with that scene? Thanks so much.
