Movie where parents sold their children's soul

This movie has been stuck in my head and for the life of me I can not figure out what its is. Its a movie where parents made a deal with the devil during the birth of their children to save their lives under the agreement that they will be taken once 18 (i believe). I remember what I thought was an opening scene where the father was driving erratically with his daughter in the passenger seat, he then proceeds to crash the car and when he realizes she didn't die stabs her in the chest. He does this to prevent her from Getting to the age where she will be taken.
