Looking for name of a movie and a phrase

First of all, I'm looking for a movie where the main character has very bad luck so he's so pissed of that starts to make actions against the 10 commandments this is what I remember and don't know why I thought the actor playing this is Gabriel Byrne. Movie is old, something between 1990 and early 2000 I think. Already ChatGPT didn't help.
