Looking for a very old B&W Movie I saw long ago..

At the "end" of this film, a couple is together in what appears to be a second floor room in an old abandoned house, a rainstorm rages outside,  they embrace, but she fades from his arms into nothing.  (On Black and White Film)

I wonder if you're thinking Portrait of Jennie (1948) Starring Joseph Cotton and Jennifer Jones?  Will you let me know if this is it?

@toni_leigh_6133244 Thank you, I scanned the film and the ending is not the same as the one I remember, they are definitely in a house, and she fades away almost like fog. This film however looks wonderful, and I will watch it for sure.

It is a really fine film. I hope you enjoy it.  So, you think your film is B/W? Well, I've watched every B/W ghost type film I can find, so either I have seen it and haven't pulled it out of my memory yet or I haven't stumbled upon it. Ill keep looked.  Cheers!

One more question, John. Could this possibly be an episode in a series like Alcoa Presents or One Step Beyond?  Any clue about the actors? Impressions, etc?

I was 12 years old I believe, got captivated by the film one after noon on an old black and white tv my parents owned. Sadly, it was close to the end of the film and it’s all I remember all these decades later. I’m sure it was a movie but I suppose I really can’t be positive as time has a way of distorting reality a little.
