Looking for a prison fight movie

Prison movie - man fights opponent and steals coin hidden in opponent's hair. These coins are used to gain freedom. There is a sadistic leader in charge of the prison who has created this system. The man is betrayed by his friends/teammates but is able to gain a coin by fighting an opponent and stealing the opponent's coin.
