Killer hides knife in base of clay sculpture

I am looking to find a movie I watched a while back. I thought it was on utube but unable to find it in the history. Any help would be appreciated.

The movie starts with a killer getting out of prison or jail on a technically or lack of evidence. He's a sculpture artist who works with clay. He romances an art gallery owner or curator and she has a showing of his work. He keeps killing with a knife but doesn't get caught. Even though he is suspect she keeps defending him and possibly innocently giving him an alibi.

I think he kills a man who is interested in her to eliminate competition.

He marries the art gallery owner and the movie ends with him hiding the murder knife in the base of the sculpture he's making of his new wife. The movie ends with a sinister smile.

It's not a new movie and there were no known actors in it that I can remember.

I found the movie and it's called Seeds of Doubt. Some of my description was right but there were a few errors. The female actress was a reporter not a curator. The curator was blonde but not his love interest. It's a movie that keeps you guessing. A good movie if you like that type.

It sounds like you're describing the movie "Kiss the Girls" starring Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd. It follows a similar plotline with a killer who hides a knife in the base of a sculpture. I hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately not the same movie. I did see kiss the girls and it's a good movie. The movie I watched was a similar plot to a perfect murder however I don't recall any famous actors in it. It almost reminds me of a lifetime movie but not too sure on that. I appreciate your response. Thank you.
