Kids mystery movie from late 70’s/early 80’s

Hi, I am looking for a movie that was probably from the late 70’s/early 80’s. It was a movie about a bunch of kids that were being chased by someone/some people and went into an abandoned mansion and ended up climbing onto the roof and there was some kind of gargoyle statue up there that when they pulled on it, a bunch of gold coins came out. It was not animated, and was family friendly. I also seem to remember it was not scary. Not sure if it was made for TV or what, but they did show it on KTLA on Sunday morning once back in the day.
