I’m trying to learn the title of a movie I saw many years ago

The story was set to WWII time in either France or England. A pilot running from the enemy hid in a barn and was cared for by the farm family, including an attractive young lady. Of course, he fell in love with the girl and she got pregnant. The pilot didn’t know that. He escaped back to his unit and went home after the end of the war. About twenty years later he visits the farm to find out what became of the girl. He learns she has passed away from some illness, but had a son. When he drove away from the farm he passed be a young man who was walking home from his hunting trip with a couple of rabbits. He realizes this is his son. Very powerful.
