I Need to Know: Looking for a Lassie movie or episode

Ok, this should be easy. Although I’m not sure if this was a movie or tv show episode. I’m not sure though.

I think it was in COLOR, and I could’ve seen this back anywhere from spring 1995 to summer 2001. 

I had seen this at my cousins. My oldest cousin was watching it. I had seen the last 20 minutes of the film. Lassie was in court and it didn’t look good for her. It looked like she was going to get convicted. The judge had called a recess. While everyone else went out of the court, Lassie and this old guy remained. The old guy lectured Lassie on something why she couldn’t just have behaved. He looked at Lassie’s collar and saw some info on it. It had like some phone number on it. The guy made a phone call. 

when the judge came back, the old guy presented his case and all of the sudden it was like a slam dunk escape for Lassie just totally clear green lights all the way. Lassie totally got off the hook. Lassie was released, and she ran home. This lady was crying in bed but when Lassie arrived, she was happy. 

the film I believe ended there.
