I need to find this movie!

I have been searching for the name of this movie but cannot find it. There is this young woman, she is a writer. She goes to this house where a bunch of old ladies who are friends live. They start telling her their love stories and she starts putting them together in a book. There was one lady who was in love with an artist who kept cheating on her. He justifies it to her as “I’m an artist, that makes me selfish.” The African American woman was in love with a man she met in France, but she couldn’t stay. There is also this one scene where a storm blew all of the photos off of the wall and the woman who loved the artist starts ripping the rest of them off of the wall. I have been searching for this movie so I can prove to my mom it exists, but no luck. HELP!
